WDF Europe Cup Ladies Overall 1988
From 6 to 8 October 1988, the British Darts Organisation hosted the Europe Cup VI, which took place in the English port city of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Initially, this event would take place in the West German town of Heidelberg but the withdrawal of the main sponsor at the last moment forced the World Darts Federation to find another host. Denmark volunteered to organise the tournament but the BDO eventually got the oranisation. Thus was the European Cup VI played in the Seashore Holiday Centre in Great Yarmouth with fifteen countries participating.
The English ladies won the overall title with 81 points. Wales was runner up with 66 points followed by Scotland with 49 points. Republic of Ireland took fourth with 25 points.
